Obituary of Sandra 'Sandy' K. Grifasi

Sandra 'Sandy' K. Grifasi Sandra 'Sandy' K. Grifasi, 73, of Rome, passed away with her loving husband by her side, on Thursday, August 18, 2016, at her home. She was born on May 4, 1943, in Rome, NY, daughter of the late Joseph and Nettie Riolo Faro. Sandy was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and Utica School of Cosmetology. On November 18, 1961, she married Ned Grifasi in St. John the Baptist Church. Sandy was a self-employed hairstylist working with her parents at Nettie's Beauty Salon. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Sandy enjoyed traveling and was a great dancer. She loved spending time tending her flower gardens. Surviving besides her husband Ned, is a special sister-in-law, Marie Grifasi, Rome, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends including; Donna Ciotti, Janine Angoti, Rosemary Mody, Rosemarie Hardin and Fran Fiorini. She was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Brenda Joyce Faro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. There are no calling hours. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., at church, prior to her Funeral Mass. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J.
