I had the pleasure of knowing Bennie for almost two decades and he is surely a great loss to all of us. I do know that he was devoted to his family. We had good times together and talked a lot. My heart goes out to the family and his friends., He will surely be missed in the Bahamas around Coral Beach and other places. He never seemed to meet a stranger. Much love to all of you. I had the pleasure of knowing Bennie at NiMo, and I would swear he was 10 feet tall & fire proof. He was always friendly, fun and an inspiration to everyone who knew him. The real deal & surely there was a huge celebration in heaven. Bennie was a gift, and I am sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure of working with Bennie at Niagara Mohawk (National Grid) as he would still call it. He was a man of dignity at all times despite any physical disilability perceived by anybody looking from the outside in. He never saw a disability but a chance to forge the future on his own terms. He treated everyone as a friend and I am sure he amassed many along the way. I will miss you brother!

Ben and I have been loyal friends since we were kids growing up in East Rome. I have never met a better individual than he. Internally Ben was so perfect, I referred him as Gentle Ben, an outstanding person in so many ways, and yet God blessed him in an unusual way. He truly was the best... I am so proud that he was a part of my life for over 50 years. I'll miss him deeply, as so many others who knew him will also. RIP my true friend. No more workouts at the gym my friend, and thanks for all the great times we shared.

My heart sunk when I read that Bennie passed away. I know Bennie from the RFA basketball teams with coach E ....... Bennie was simply the best! Absolutely respected, and a friend to all.
