My condolences to Vito’s remaining family and all those whose lives he touched. Its now Nov, 2023 and I’m just finding out that Vito passed.
Vito was the very first friend I can remember ever having. We both lived on Mill St in East Rome and attended Lillian O. Burns Elementary school.
We were 4 or 5 yrs old at that time. Half-way through our kindergarten year, my family move to another school district, so I didn’t see him again until Staley Jr. High. By then, we’d grow apart, different friends/lives. But I’ll always remember him as my very FIRST friend. :-)
