Obituary of Ralph "Rudy" A. Iannotti
Ralph "Rudy" A. Iannotti, 88, of Rome, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at the home of his daughter Nancy. He was born in Rome, NY, on June 6, 1929, son of the late Pasquale and Conchetta Serino Iannotti. Rudy was educated in Rome Schools. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and received the WWII Victory Medal. On February 23, 1952 he married Kathleen Vaccaro in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away July 11, 2005. Rudy retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and also did electrical work throughout the City of Rome. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Rome Elks Club, Stanwix Men's Club and the Galliano Club. Rudy loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening and enjoyed horse racing and watching football. Rudy also enjoyed a nice cold beer out of a frosted mug.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph "Randy" and Linda Iannotti, three daughters and two sons-in-law; Camille and Anthony Vinci, Marykaye Payne, Nancy and Tony Trips, all of Rome, grandchildren; Matthew Iannotti, Patrick Iannotti, Jarett Iannotti, A. J. Vinci and his wife Ashley, Camille Ann Vinci, David Vinci and his wife Lanette, Michael Vinci and his wife Amanda, Andrew Payne, Kathleen Payne, Joseph Trips, Conchetta Trips, and Gabriel Trips, great grandchildren; Isabella, Anthony, Addyson, Bruce, Simona, John and Salvatore . He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Iannotti, a grandson, Nicholas Iannotti, a son-in-law, Michael Payne and several sisters and brothers and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Abe Esper officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.
