Obituary of Jean Conestabile

Jean Conestabile, 87, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY, on October 24, 1930, daughter of the late Frank and Carmella Corasiniti. Jean was educated in Rome Schools. On July 25, 1953 she married Rocco P. Conestabile in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away on November 17, 2015. Jean was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and hosting holiday dinners. Jean adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law; Anthony and Elizabeth Conestabile, Rome, Frank and Shari Conestabile, Lee Center, three cherished grandchildren, Frank Conestabile II, Laura and her husband Josh Duvelow and Jordan Conestabile, three cherished great grandchildren, Marilyn, Scarlett and Josh. Also surviving are a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dominick and Fina Conestabile, Rome, a sister-in-law, Antoinette Viscomi, MD, an aunt, Lena and her husband John Camastra, Rome, and several nieces and nephews, including a niece, Anne Sanzone, who helped to care for her later in life. She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco and a sister, Concetta Sanzone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio, officiating. The family will receive friends at church from 9:30 a.m., to 10:30 a.m., prior to her Funeral Mass. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
