Rose M. Baptiste, 91, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. She was born in Rome, NY, on December 11, 1926, daughter of the late Gennaro and Catherine (Caterina) Condello Corigliano. Rose was educated in Rome Schools. On September 6, 1947 she married, William A. Baptiste, Sr., in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away February 16, 2007. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Rose enjoyed cooking for her family, knitting, bowling, bocce, puzzles and going to the casino with her sisters-in-law. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William Jr., and Carrie Baptiste, Manlius, four grandchildren; Andy Hudak, June Rogers, Heather Crowley,and Jessica Deojay, and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law; Peter and Isabelle Corigliano, Kit Corigliano, Thomas and Carmella Corigliano, a brother-in-law, David Schillaci, a sister-in-law, Ann Corigliano, all of Rome, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Andrew Hudak, two brothers; Nazare Corigliano and Gennaro Corigliano, sisters and brothers-in-law; Mary and James Farraggio, Antoinette and Dominick Ross, Nora and Carl Pugliese, Frances and Alfred Scerra, and Angeline Schillaci. Private Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J.
