Anthony Procopio
Anthony Procopio, 79, of Rome, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Prince William Hospital, Manassas, Va. He was born in Staletti, Italy on June 13, 1930, son of Rocco and Angela Aversa Procopio. On September 15, 1956 he married Olga Raulli, in St. John the Baptist Church. She passed away, March 6, 2007. Mr. Procopio retired from Raulli Iron Works. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Glenn Coghlan, Springfield, Va.; a son and daughter-in-law, Rocco and Susan Procopio, Manassas, Va.; grandchildren, Sarah Coghlan, Elyse Procopio, Allison Procopio, Anthony Procopio, Shannon McGinn, Cara McGinn and Sean McGinn. Also surviving are two sisters, Catherina Cortese, of Staletti, Italy, and Gregorina Sauro, of Syracuse, N.Y.;and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Olga and two sisters, Antoinette Voci and Rosina Camastra.
Graveside services will be held onThursday, Sept. 3, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. in St. John's Cemetery, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 218 W. Court St. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Central New York Chapter, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, N.Y. 13204-1361
