Obituary of Marie Rotolo

Marie Rotolo, 93, of Rome, passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. She was born in Rome, NY, on November 10, 1925, daughter of the late Angelo and Beatrice Lamandola Coccia. Marie was a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names. On January 14, 1950, Marie married Salvatore "Sam" J. Rotolo in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away December 26, 2003. Marie was a secretary at St. John the Baptist Church for several years. Marie was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Marie was a member and past President of the Marion Guild and a former member of the Congregation of Mary.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Mary Ann Rotolo, Rome, two daughters and sons-in-law; Veda and Tim Donnelly, Annsville, Katherine and John Collmer, AZ, grandchildren; Veda and Richard Waters, John B. and Jill Collmer, Anthony Rotolo, Jr., Annmarie Rotolo, Sean and Christina Rotolo, Elizabeth and Clint Chirsman, Jonathan Donnelly and Ashley Vanmarter, Patrick Donnelly, great-grandchildren; Annabelle, Pierce, Catalina, Salvatore, Jack, Jase. Also surviving are a sister, Helen Esposito, Rome, a sister-in-law Stephanie Rotolo, IL, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Salvatore J. Rotolo, Jr., sisters and brothers-in-law; Justina and Natalino Cesari, Angela and Michael DiMeo, brother-in-law; Samuel Esposito and a sister, Josephine Coccia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 2, 2019, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Abe Esper officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Private burial with be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The family will receive friends at St. John the Baptist Church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to her Funeral Mass.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie's name to: Parish Visitors of Mary Immaculate, Marycrest Convent, P.O. Box 658, Monroe, New York 10949-0658.
