Sandra A. Simon, 81 of Rome, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Katherine Luther Residential Health Care and Rehab Center. She was born in Rome, NY on March 12, 1938, daughter of the late Bernard and Margaret Cordsen Campbell. Sandy graduated from Rome Free Academy. On February 12, 1959 she married William G. Simon. He passed away on May 2, 2009.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, William Jr., and Susan Simon, Rome, grandchildren; Chelsea and Brian Tillson, Clayville, Melissa and Jared Obernesser, Whitesboro, and a great grandson, Luca. Also surviving are three sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Earl Nestved, Rome, Marion and Frank Prosser, Lee Center, Judy and George Yell, Constantia, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., at Floyd Cemetery where relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome.
