Anthony J. Gotti Sr. Anthony J. Gotti, Sr., 55, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 with his family by his side at St. Luke's Healthcare Center, New Hartford. He was born in Rome, N.Y., on September 23, 1954, son of Vito and Angeline Lombino Gotti. Anthony graduated from Rome Free Academy. He served with the U.S. Navy. Anthony was united in marriage to Sandra Doneza in St. Peter's Church. He was employed at Utica National Insurance and formerly employed at Revere Copper and Brass, Rome Manufacturing and Griffiss Air Force Base Exchange. He was a member of St. Peter's Church. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his wife and children. He enjoyed campfires with friends and family in his back yard, mini biking with his children, fall time, Halloween and fishing. Surviving besides his wife, Sandra, are his mother, Angeline Gotti, Rome; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Christina and Mark Fanfarillo, Rome, Jennifer Gotti, Rome, Cynthia and Jason Waters, Utica, Samantha and Lisa Gotti, at home; three sons, Anthony Jr., Vito and John Gotti, at home; two grandchildren, Brandon Fanfarillo and Connor Waters. Also surviving are four sisters and brothers-in- law, Patricia and Vincent Martinelli, Rome, Ann and Dennis Fleming, Pennsylvania, Joanne and Chuck Ramm and Frances and Patrick Guilfoil, all of Georgia; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick and Carol Gotti, Utah, Gerald and Sharon Gotti, Rome; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends. He was predeceased by his father, Vito Gotti. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. Peter's Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
