Robert L. Cardello
Robert L. Cardello, 77, of Rome, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2009, at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on March 10, 1932, son of the late James and Katherine Ross Cardello. Mr. Cardello graduated from Rome Free Academy. He served with the U.S. Air Force and was a retiree of Rome D.D.S.O. Mr. Cardello was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, H.P. Smith Post 24 American Legion, Toccolana Club, Griffiss Golf Club and the Senior's Bowling League.
Surviving are a brother, Anthony S. Cardello, Rome; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Diane Cardello, Rome, James and Deidre Cardello, California, Anne Marie and Michael Ambrose, New Hartford; and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Mary Ann Fauss.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
