On November 16, 1957, she married Samuel Trophia in St. John the Baptist Church, a blessed union for over 45 years. He passed away March 20, 2003.
Christine graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1956 and shortly after started work as a secretary at Griffiiss Air Force Base where she met her husband Samuel. After having her five children, Christine started her career with the Rome City School District in the school lunch office where she worked over 22 years before retiring in 2000. Christine enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and cooking. She participated in many craft fairs throughout her years. Christine was a joyful participant of the St. Paul's Choir for over twenty-five years. She donated her time to many church functions, including teaching church school. Christine happily delivered meals to families for meals on wheels. Throughout her life her main focus was her husband and family.
