Obituary of Karen A. Ventura
Karen A. Ventura, 81, of Rome, passed away, Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Katherine Luther Residential Health Care, Clinton. She was born in Rome, NY, on April 22, 1939, daughter of the late Donald and Florence Schoffler Puffer. Karen attended Clinton Schools. On April 25, 1962 she eloped with Carmine J. Ventura to Paoli, PA. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Karen enjoyed Polka dancing and was a member of United Polka League and traveled extensively to dance.
Surviving besides her husband Carmine, are a son and daughter-in-law, Carmine Jr., and Vinia Ventura, of CA, two daughters and son-in-law; Carrie and Derek Skidmore, Rome, Kathryn Jordan, Troy, NY, three grandchildren; Larry III, Kellie and Kristen and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Puffer, and sisters, Aleen Barron and Estella Lee.
Private services will be held at St. John the Baptist Cemetery Chapel. There are no calling hours.
