Arthur Michael Mosca
Arthur Michael Mosca, 82, of Rome, passed away on, Sunday, August 2, 2020. He was born in Rome, NY, on May 31, 1938, son of the late Frank and Matilda Basilio Mosca. Art was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Austin Peay University. On November 26, 1966 he married the love of his life, Elaine Dursi. They were married thirty years before her passing on July 5, 1996. They never missed a Sunday morning Mass, followed by a pasta dinner with the kids. Art was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Art was passionate about cars, restoring several classic cars, especially his beloved Corvette. His favorite pastimes included listening to Frank Sinatra, watching the NY Yankees, Syracuse sports and any and all James Bond movies. He loved the simple things, such as starting his day off reading the newspaper while drinking his cup of coffee. Art enjoyed spending his time at his business, Modern Moving and Storage, Turning Stone Casino and most of all, visiting his children and grandchildren in Rome and in Charlotte, NC.
Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law: Steven and Kristina Mosca, of Ava, NY, Eric Mosca, Arthur II and Krissy Mosca, all of Charlotte, NC, two daughters and sons-in-law: Melissa and Colin Fabeny, Sarah and Joe Schillaci, all of Charlotte NC, six grandchildren: Alex Mosca, Nicholas Mosca, Noah Mosca, Patrick Fabeny, Luke Schillaci and Norah Fabeny. Also surviving are two brothers, Michael Mosca, FL, Robert Mosca, NY, two sisters; Maryanne Peck, Rome and Marie Helmick, VA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine, his parents, Frank and Matilda Mosca a brother, Frank Mosca, Jr., and a sister Patricia Mosca.
Services are private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
