Lena B. Marcelletta, 91, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Colonial Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born in Rome, NY, on September 23, 1929, daughter of the late, Nicola and Theresa Rania Aquino. Lena graduated from Rome Free Academy and Bronx School of Nursing. On September 19, 1953 she married, James V. Marcelletta, in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away January 17, 2003. Lena was a registered nurse retiring from the State of New York. She was a former Director of Nursing at Stonehedge Nursing Home. Lena was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, former member of the Marion Guild and Ava Dorfman Senior Citizen Center. Surviving is a son, James V. Marcelletta, Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Sue Aquino and a sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Dan Vaccaro. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Lena's name to: St. John the Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 210 E. Dominick St., Rome, NY 13440. Arrangements are by Nicholas J.
