Susan F. Ciotti, 67, of Rome, passed away Friday November 13, 2020 at Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in Utica, NY, on August 13, 1953, daughter of the late John "Butch" and Arlene Gutheinz Mikalauskas. Susan graduated from Sauquoit Valley High School and SUNY Brockport cum laude. On October 4, 1980, she married Anthony J. Ciotti, Sr., in St. Patrick's Church, Clayville, NY. Susan was an elementary school teacher in Australia before working at US Air and her greatest job in life was enjoying her children and grandchildren growing up. Her hobbies included crocheting, baking cakes and cookies for everyone she loved. Susan was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving besides her husband, Anthony, Sr., are her children; Margaret and Ronny Wieland, Germany, Amanda Ciotti and Thomas Telesco, Rome, Anthony Jr., and Jackie Ciotti, Rome, Alicia and JD Clark, Oneida, grandchildren; Anna, Michael and Lissy Kutschmann, Thomas, Ashley and Avery Telesco, Sierra, Barbara and Hannah Ciotti, and Aiden Clark. Also surviving is a brother, John Mikalauskas, a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Ray Dousharm, sisters-in-law and brother-in-law; Palma Ciotti, Ruth Fracola, Louise Snyder, Gabe and Karen Ciotti, Donna Ciotti and Johann Ciotti. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins that she loved dearly. Susan was predeceased by her in-laws, Jeffrey Brondou, William Snyder, Marion and Emanuele "Coleman" Comito, Clara and Tony Montalbano, Al Nashton, Olympia and Salvatore Carletta, Felix Ciotti, Angelo Ciotti, Vincent and Grace Ciotti, Pasquale Ciotti and Louie Ciotti. The family wishes to express a special thank you to all who gathered at the family home upon Susan's passing. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and social distancing restrictions, a gathering with family and friends will take place at a later date. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 20, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 4-7 p.m. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in Susan's memory may be made to the family who will forward contributions to a charity of their choice.
