Doris Rondinelli Doris Rondinelli, 76, of Rome, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at University Hospital, Syracuse in the presence of her family. She was born in Manheim, Pa. on June 14, 1933, daughter of the late Walker and Margaret Garvin Cline. Doris graduated from Rome Free Academy, class of 1951, and attended Utica School of Commerce. On September 8, 1956, she married Joseph Rondinelli in St. John the Baptist Church. He passed away December 11, 2008. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Mrs. Rondinelli retired from Griffiss Air Force Base and was formerly employed at Metropolitan Life. Doris was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Marcia Townsend, Carthage, N.Y., Margaret and Roy Rienzo, Utica, Donna and Jim Sherwood, Rome; seven grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Townsend, Megan and Nicole Rienzo, Christopher, Daniel and Kate Sherwood; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, a brother, Harvey Cline, and a grandson, Joseph Townsend. The family wishes to offer a sincere thank you to Rome Memorial Hospital staff, especially the staff on 2 North and ICU, along with Dr. Ramenini and Dr. Potluri. The family also wishes to acknowledge the dedicated professionals at SUNY Upstate ICU. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 8:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4-7 p.m.
