I remember all the times I saw him and spoke to him growing up. I remember how my mom made it look effortless to be a single mom to two kids, and how she didn’t have any kids with anyone else. Someone you still said we weren’t his.. even though the dna tests proved we were. I’ll never apologize for being black. Truth is Vinny liked black women and I’ll never understand why that bothered you guys so much. He’s got black daughters who have masters degrees and their own businesses. I wish you would have invited us to the funeral considering he’s our dad. Sucks that you worked so hard to keep us out. It made us stronger though. And my children will never have to worry about being hidden, you taught us a valuable lesson how family don’t mean a thing unless they want you to be family, especially when you’re a different race. Great lesson to learn the hard way.. made all the other tough lessons easy to learn in life.
