Pasquale "Pat" J. Mesagna, 92, of Rome, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, New Hartford. He was born in Rome, NY, on June 21, 1928, son of the late Antonio and Lucia Palmadesso Mesagna. Pat served with the U.S. Marine Corps., from 1948-1951 as a Sergeant, receiving the Korean Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation and United Nation Service Medal. He was a former employee of General Cable, Revere Rome Manufacturing, Griffiss Air Force Base Officer's Club and retired in 1986 from the GAFB NCO Club. Pat was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, life member of Galliano Club, Rome DAV, VFW Rome Post # 2246, HP Smith Post #24 American Legion and an associate member of the Polish Home. Surviving are a brother, Rocco Mesagna, Verona, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers; Joseph Mesagna, Jack Mesagna, and Tony Mesagna, and sisters; Rose DeProspero, Frances Galluppi, Beatrice Cook, and Anna Sanchez. Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
