Joseph J. Manuele Jr. Joseph J. Manuele, Jr., 81, of Rome, passed away Friday, November 6, 2009 at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on August 19, 1928, son of the late Joseph J. Sr. and Prudence Favata Manuele. Joe attended Rome schools. On April 15, 1950, he married Vita Semeraro in Holy Family Church, Fulton, N.Y. Mr. Manuele retired from Revere Copper and Brass after 45 years of employment. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Joe enjoyed gardening and antique cars. Surviving besides his wife, Vita, are three sons and two daughters-in- law, Michael and Lorrie Manuele, Nick Manuele, James Sr. and Irene Manuele, all of Rome; six grandchildren, Vita, Sarah, James Jr., Diane, Jennifer and Meagan; five great grandchildren, Victoria, Veronica, Vincent, Amelia and Briana. Also surviving are two sisters and brothers-in-law, Prudence "Honey" and Leo Vaccaro, Vinzetta and John Hedrington, all of Rome; two sisters-in-law, Virginia "Jean" Manuele and Mary Manuele, both of Rome; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three infant children, Martin, Joseph and Melanie, a sister, Anna Vacheresse, and two brothers, Louis and Salvatore Manuele. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-7 p.m.
