Amelia L. Sciorilli, 90, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021, at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY, on July 18, 1930 daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella St. Thomas Guiliano. On June 17, 1950 she married Dominick Sciorilli Sr., in St. John the Baptist Church, a blessed union of forty-nine years. He passed away July 2, 1999. Amelia served as the Rome City Deputy Clerk, a position she was very proud of. She later worked for Oneida County Finance Department. Amelia was very active with the Rome Democratic Party. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Amelia spent most of her time raising her five children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone, especially her Christmas cookies. Family was very important to Amelia. Surviving are her children; Sebastian "Buzz" (Mary) Sciorilli, Rome, Joseph (Rhonda) Sciorilli, Lee, Donna (David) Marcello, Rome, Dominick Jr., (Susan) Sciorilli, Oriskany, Cathy (Frank) Agosto, Rome, grandchildren; B.J. (Diana), Sebrina (Mike), Stacey (Brian), Joey (Crystal), Anthony (Gabby), Michelle (Jason), Tanya (Patricio), Dominick III (Jessica), Lucas, Noah, Melissa, Aaron, Michael (Marissa), Josh, Gage, Charley, Sarah and Shane, great-grandchildren; Kayla, Hayley, Natalie, Zachary, Savannah, Jolianna, Cheyenne, Grace, Chrissy, Alana, Jaylynn, Amelia, Brady, Marc-E, Scarlett and several nieces, nephews and a special cousin, Terry. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick, two brothers; Loretto "Jiggs" Guiliano, Joseph Guiliano and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. The family would like to express a special thank you to her private care givers and especially to her sons-in-law; David Marcello and Frank Agosto, along with Dr. Seedat and 2-North of Rome Hospital for the excellent care she received. Funeral Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Arrangements are by Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 7751 Merrick Rd.
