Sharon L. Ciotti, 46, of Rome, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. Sharon had Gordon Holmes Syndrome for several years and passed away at Rome Memorial Hospital from COVID-19. She was born in Rome, NY, on October 26, 1974, daughter of Louis A. Sr., and Patricia Hall Ciotti. Sharon was an Oriskany Central School graduate Class of 1992, Herkimer County Community College in 1994 and received her Bachelor's degree in Travel and Tourism Administration from Niagara University in 1997. She was a former employee of Disney World, Orlando, FL and Turning Stone Casino, Verona. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Sharon loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Disney, and the Buffalo Bills.
Surviving besides her parents, Lou and Patty Ciotti, Rome, a brother and sister-in-law; Louis A. Jr., and Rebecca Ciotti, Oriskany, paternal grandmother, Palma Ciotti, Rome, two cherished nieces; Lilliana and Clara Ciotti, Oriskany, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a special great aunt Charlotte Malouf, Rome. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Angelo R. Ciotti, maternal grandparents; William A. and Mary A. Hall and an uncle, Angelo L. Ciotti.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Dr. Michael Vertino, University Hospital, Neurology Department, Syracuse, NY, Dr. Jeremy D. Schmahmann, Massachusetts General Hospital, Neurology Department, Boston, MA, Dr. Bushnell and Dr. Ravi and the entire staff of the Emergency Department and ICU of Rome Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Sharon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., on Friday February 26, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. Spring Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sharon's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
