My sincere sympathies to Helen Ann and Mary K's entire family. We grew up together on Cottage Street in Rome NY and we had many good times together. Our families were the best and I will always remember her Mom and Dad and Grandparents. Mary K was always kind and warm hearted. I still have old photos of myself, Mary K and Helen Ann with my dog Trixie on Cottage Street. It was a blessing we grew up when we did in Rome. The 1950s was another world. Just great family and friends that worked hard and loved their families and we all felt the warmth and security that is beyond words. As we all get older it seems when we reflect on all those that have gone on before us, we at least have the hope that we will all be together again. As we struggle at times in this world our wonderful memories help to sustain us and bring a smile to our face. I hope someday in another world we will be sharing laughs, hugs, food and good times beyond anything we can imagine. Until we meant again Mary, keep an eye on all of us and say hello to our family and friends in Heaven. Thank you for being my friend and watch over us.

We both graduated from RFA class of 1970. I also remember Mary K - along with her sister, when we were children where we first met in grade school at Harvey E. Alter. I walked to school from Woodland Ave. That was grades 3 through 6 for me. We were of the same age. Almost like yesterday I can see Mary K and her sister walking together. I remember their mother back then as well.
After H.S. graduation our paths crossed too few times.
Over the years I've forgotten many kids from the 3rd grade or so, but not Mary K. Childhood affection? I can say for certain the sight of that gentle, pretty girl with long black hair and the sweetest smile is an image that remained with me always, and how I will continue to remember her best. It was always a comforting memory

MaryK was a very classy woman of great integrity and cannot forget your style!!. She was a mentor and friend. MaryK was one of the first teachers I was blessed to work with she taught me so many valuable lessons. Mary K, my daugther Maria and I (John) sang together in the St. Johns choir. Her soprano voice rang out like an angel. She never stopped asking me about my dad, or my family as we got together either at mass or at rehearsal. She also taught my son AJ. She was the only teacher who ever recognized his needs and challenged him with extra little things to do. We appreciated that very much. She continued to keep track of AJ for all the years after she taught him. She was a very loving and caring individual who we will miss dearly. John, Sharon, AJ and Maria Parker

Was a regular fixture at Francis X. Bellamy Elementary School during my years there from 1981-1987. Even though I did not have her for a teacher, she was always very nice and pleasant.
