Edward "Eddie" J. Goodrich, 55, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Rome Health. He was born in Rome, NY, on November 7, 1965, son of Charles J. and Betty Jane Rossi Goodrich. Eddie was a graduate of Rome Free Academy Class of 1984. On July 9, 2011 he married Robin Baird in Lee Methodist Church. Ed was a dedicated fan of the Buffalo Bills, Syracuse Orangemen as well as an avid fisherman. He will be missed by all who knew him and especially man's best friend, Sabre. Surviving is his wife of ten years, Robin L. Goodrich, a son, Gene M. Goodrich, and step-sons; Jacob McCanney and Shawn McCanney, all of Rome, mother, Betty Jane, grandchildren; Olivia Goodrich and Riley, Peyton, Madilynn, Noah and Violet McCanney also surviving are a sister, Donna (Kevin) Sweeney, Victor, NY, a brother, Charles A. (Tammy) Goodrich, Rome, nieces; Brenna, Ashley and Heather. He was predeceased by his father, Charles J. Goodrich. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Lee United Methodist Church, Lee, with Pastor Brian Woodard officiating. There are no calling hours.
