Philip Tardbania, 75, of Rome, passed away on Friday, September 03, 2021, at Rome Health with his family by his side. He was born in Rome, NY, on July 22, 1946 son of the late Philip and Carmela (Nellie) Sabia Tardbania. He was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and employed at International Heaters, Utica, NY. Phil was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Phil is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Glen Sexton, nephew, Richard Guglielmo, all of Rome, a daughter, Kimberly (Shaun) Delaney, Virginia, a son, Philip Tardbania III, Texas, grandchildren; Ashton, Megan (Devin) Cochian, Jillian, Shanan, Nathan and a great-granddaughter, Alana, a special Aunt Delores (Sabia) Fontaine, of Utica, many cousins, caring cousins and neighbors, Antoinette and Chia, special friends Russ, Pat, Chris, Karen and Greg. Phil was predeceased by his parents, Phililp and "Nelllie" Tardbania, a sister and brother-in-law, Tillie and Richard Guglielmo, a brother, Dominick (Mickey) Tardbania and niece Sharon Sperduto. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the wonderful nurses and staff that cared for Phil at Rome Health. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, at St. John the Baptist Church, 210 E. Dominick St., Rome, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Phil's name to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or a charity of one's choice.
