Peter L. Biancucci Peter L. Biancucci, 86 of Rome, passed away, Saturday December 5, 2009, at Rome Memorial Hospital. He was born in Frankfort, N. Y. on June 15, 1923, son of the late Angelo and Anna Maneen Biancucci. Peter served with the U.S. Army during WWII as a staff sergeant stationed in Guadalcanal. On July 27, 1947 he married Assunta Cianfrocco in St. John the Baptist Church. Peter retired from Rome Strip Steel. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving besides his wife Assunta, are a son, Angelo P. Biancucci; a daughter-in-law, Betty Schilling ,all of Rome; a son-in-law , Ronald Manchester, ND.; six grandchildren; Angela and her husband Scott Montesano, IA.; Michelle and her husband, Mike Wood, Syracuse; William Manchester, Peter Manchester; both of MN.; Brianne and her husband Louie Manna,; Kristy Biancucci and Mike Smith, all of Rome. Three grandchildren; Jacob Wood, Kayla Manna and Caleb Wood. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Anna Biancucci and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Anna Rose Manchester and two brothers, Jack and Sam Biancucci. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 10:15 a.m. from the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc. 218 W. Court St. and at St. John the Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 4-7 pm. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made to the family.
