Joseph L. Pace, 92, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Rome Health. He was born in Rome, NY, on March 6, 1929, son of the late Nicholas and Angela Corbo Pace. Joe was educated in Rome Schools. He served with the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. Joe retired from Griffiss Air Force Base in 1989. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. Surviving is a sister, Margaret Pace-Paterson, Redondo Beach, CA, nieces and nephews including, Angela and Eric Jones, Canastota, NY, Lisa and Jim Paterson-Mooney, Hermosa Beach, CA, Lucille and Ed O'Donnell, Syracuse, NY, Linda and Perry Okimoto, Redondo Beach, CA, Lorelei Paterson, Ft. Collins, CO, and many great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Pace and a sister, Lucille Paduck and also by a niece, Lori Paterson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
