Obituary of Peter S. Vaccaro

Peter S. Vaccaro Peter S. Vaccaro, 62, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at home. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on Dec 17, 1947, son of the late Leonard and Anna Gilbert Vaccaro. Peter attended Rome schools. After a loving relationship, Peter married June Perry on May 14, 1983. "Pete, I love you and rest in peace." He was a former employee of Rome State School and retired from New York State Department of Transportation. Most recently he was employed at Vernon Downs. Peter was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the NRA. Surviving besides his wife, June, are a son, Peter S. Vaccaro Jr., Texas; a daughter and son-in law, Lee Ann and Joseph Rosato Sr., Kannapolis, N.C.; a grandson, Donald Narrows II; a great granddaughter Emma. Also surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard and Yvonne Vaccaro, Jerry and Gail Vaccaro , all of CA.; a sister and brother-in-law Betty Ann Dibble and Ed, Rome; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friends, Donald Narrows, Marty and Eileen Tracy and Rose Vacca and family, all of Rome. He was predeceased by a brother, Vito Vaccaro Sr. The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Chahfe, and Dr. Bulawa for their care and compassion shown to Peter. Please omit flowers.
