Evelyn Joy Snow Evelyn Joy Snow, 48, of Rome passed away Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born in Rome, NY on December 6, 1961 daughter of the late John and Naomi Hall Snow. "Joy" attended Rome schools. She was a member of Lee Center Methodist Church and Lee Center American Legion Auxiliary. "Joy" had been employed as a Cook at various restaurants in and around Rome, including Beck's Grove, Friendly's, Ponderosa, Sarge's Diner, Denny's of Herkimer and Rome and Buddie's Restaurant. She was last employed at Rite Aid Distribution Center. Surviving are four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Kathy Snow, Taberg; George and Donna Snow, Camden; Harry and Lynn Snow, Floyd; Edward Snow and companion Steve Harrington, Taberg; a sister and brother-in-law, Abbie and Ernest Robbins, Blossvale; aunts and uncles, Martha and Rich Campany, Crogan, Carolyn and Don Snyder, Brantingham, Bethany and Mike Felton, Loweville, Larry and Melissa Woodrick, Loweville; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her best friend Patricia Wilhelmsen, Rome, and longtime friend Dawn Garrlington, Ava. She was predeceased by her father John in November 2000, her mother Naomi in July 2009, and a special nephew Dustin Platt in May 2009. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home Inc. 218 W. Court St. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 - 2:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
