Jeanette has been my 2nd mom since the first time I walked into her home sophomore year of high school after Katie and I had become best friends. Honestly, I don’t think I ever even called her by her name until now. She was always so excited when I came over to the house, and would always greet me with a warm smile and a “Hi sweetie!” Followed by asking what the plans were for the day, or coming outside to chat and hangout with Katie and I, and dad would join too of course! She would always tell me stories about her parents and her life experiences. I loved listening to them and I know it made her happy that I did. She would always help us bake cookies and of course sample them for us! Prom dress shopping and driving home in a snowstorm will always be a time to remember! And I will forever miss her picking on me, especially when Katie and I FAILED at our attempt at a fudge roll. I promise we’ll try to get it right this year mom! And I promise that I will continue to check on Katie and dad; and visit with them as much as possible. I miss you already. Going over to your home just isn’t the same without you there. But keep visiting and sending all of us signs. We know that butterfly is you! And give poppy a hug for me please. Love your “2nd daughter”..thank you for welcoming me to be part of your family.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Jeannette for as long as she has been with Steve. She was “family”, and will be missed dearly. When I think of her, it brings a warm feeling and smile to my face and a few words immediately come to mind, kind, caring, and positive. She was easily happy and comfortable to be around. I have many, many, great memories that I was privileged to share with her and her family. Looking back through the years, it only makes me realize how wonderful she has been. The world was a better place with your sensitive heart and soul.

Hey Mom,
You left us way too soon and way too fast. Thank you for being a little girls personal hair stylist, an amazing dance mom, gardening and crocheting pro. Thank you for teaching me how to braid my hair, take care of it, do my makeup, for holding my hand every time I needed it held and for being one of my loudest cheerleaders every time I accomplished something. Thank you for teaching me that decking out the entire house for Halloween and Christmas is the only logical way to celebrate and it should be surrounded with love. Thank you for wiping every tear and joining in on every laugh. But most of all, thank you for being my Mom.
I promise, I will keep your garden growing strong and beautiful, our house the spookiest for Halloween and I promise to out do the Griswolds every Christmas in your honor. I love you Mom and I will miss you every day from here on out. Don’t worry I will take care of Dad and we will take care of Zoey and Jack.
Rest in Peace.
Love Always,
Your Doodlebug (Katie)

Like a second mother, her encouragement and wisdom through the years has brought me so much comfort. She always made sure she told us how much she cared. She will be missed dearly.

To my beautiful wife, you left us way too soon. We had so many plans. So many more things to do. I want to thank you for: always being there for me, for getting me through the hard times and sharing the happy times, for going through hell to give us our beautiful daughter, most of all I want to thank you for your love and for being my wife. Know that you will always be on my mind and in my heart until we are together again.
Your loving husband,
Stephen
