Jeannette A. (Bush) LoRusso

1955 - 2023

Jeannette A. LoRusso of Rome passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2023, at the age of 68. Jeannette was born in Nuremberg, Germany on June 10th 1955, the daughter of Sergeant Major Robert J. and Catherine (Kay) Bush. On March 12, 1994, Jeannette was united in marriage to Stephen M. LoRusso at St. John the Baptist Church. Exactly 9 years from the day they met and started dating, for a total blessed union of 38 years together. Jeannette and her family returned to the United States when she was 2 years old and lived in many places including Colorado and Alaska before the family settled down and made Lewisburg, PA home. 

Jeannette graduated from Lewisburg High with the class of 1974. She then obtained her cosmetology license which she kept current until her passing. She also attended MVCC receiving a certificate in office management and BOCES receiving a certificate in floral design. Jeannette held many jobs including waitress at El Chico’s, claim representative at MetLife, and floral designer at some local shops. Jeannette enjoyed crafting, baking, crocheting, gardening and horseback riding. Jeannette also loved going back to visit in PA and especially her vacation trips to Old Forge with her husband and daughter Katie.

Surviving are her husband Stephen, her children Kristopher Strausser, Annette (James) Sherman, and Katherine J. LoRusso; her brother Dale (Becky) Bush; 7 grandchildren, Autumn, Alabama, Trinity, Mathew, Alyssa, Karisma, Abigail and a niece Kristina.

Jeannette was predeceased by her parents Robert and Catherine Bush, sister, Debra Phillips, father and mother in law Rinaldo and Katherine LoRusso and “special” Aunt Lucille (LouLou) Bevelaqua.

In keeping with Jeannette’s wishes there will be no calling hours and funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
