Mary I. Brown

Mary I. Brown , 56, of Rome, passed away Friday, January 19, 2007. She was born in Rome, N.Y. on March 25, 1950 daughter of Stephen J. and Eugenia F. McNally Lucas. Mary was a graduate of Rome Catholic High School and SUNY Geneseo. On July 8, 1972, she married Donald E. Brown in St. Paul's Church. She retired from teaching with the Rome City School District. Mary was a member of St. Pauls Church.

Surviving besides her husband, Don, are her father and mother, Steve and Jean Lucas; a son, Adam L. Brown, all of Rome; a daughter, Amanda J. Brown, New York City; a brother, Stephen Lucas, Rome; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Patricia Lucas, South Carolina, Donna and David Smith, Pennsylvania, Jeanne and David Waite, Rome; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, N.Y. 13502. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St.
