Lawrence A. D'Antonio
Lawrence A. D'Antonio , 83, of Clinton , passed away Thursday, February 1, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Utica. He was born in Rome, N.Y. on October 7, 1923, son of the late Alfred and Alphonsina Fragola DAntonio. Larry received an associate degree from CREI Washington, D.C. and also served with the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II in South America. He married Peggy Slaughter in Sacred Heart Cathedral, Washington D.C. She passed away February 16, 2001. Mr. DAntonio retired from Griffiss Air Force Base and was a former employee of General Electric of Utica.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence DAntonio and Barbara Stagno, Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.; a sister, Betty Ciaralli, Kennesaw, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Phyllis DAntonio, Rome, and Mary DAntonio Trotz, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and several nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, Philip DAntonio, Henry DAntonio, and the Rev. Alfred DAntonio.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John The Baptist Church, where relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 218 W. Court St., on Monday from 4 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
