I am deeply saddened by the news of Sam passing. My heartfelt sympathy to his mother Theresa and all his family. Sam was one of my most favorite people in this world. I had a special friendship with Sam since we were in our twenties and always stayed in touch. Sam was like no other and I found it easy to talk to and share things going on in our lives. He always asked about my children and family. Years would pass and when he did call it was like just yesterday. He was constant in his joking around, kidding me about everything and yet I knew he cared and was proud of me. Sam might be "rough" around the edges but very sweet and I always felt safe and comfortable with him. I was always so happy to hear from him and listen to whatever was on his mind. He was quite a private person and lived life on his own terms. I was so blessed to have known Sam and could never forget the value of his friendship to me. I miss him.
