Bea was considered family. She would travel to Roseville, California as often as she could to visit her family, including Ray & I. We went on several trips together sightseeing in California. We also traveled the North Coast and stayed in rental homes.
We have many memories of her kindness and joking ways. She kept us happy and lively. She always made living such a joy. We have always missed her and now will miss her even more! May she rest in peace. We know we will see her again.
One side note, she always provided everyone in our group with Hershey bars. She said, "You have to keep up your energy for sightseeing".
Christine, we want you to know that we love you. Your mother at this moment is watching over you. So, eat your vegetables and don't forget your Welch's Grape Juice! We want to thank you for sharing your mother. Ray and I will never forget her! You are always in our prayers. Please keep in touch.
Love,
Ray & Alice Spadoni

Christine - I have so many memories of Aunt Bea that it would take me days to write them all down. I do recall that she didn't like moths, anything about moths, and certainly didn't want them flying around her. She'd go running out of the room screeching, even if one got near her. I remember when you lived with us on Sunset Drive in Floyd, that she'd have us watch the Wonderful World of Disney and we'd have to go to sleep, right after it was over even if it was still daylight outside. I remember you living on River Street in Rome and how she'd love to sit out on the metal lawn chairs in the sun. Or....how about the time she came to visit us in California and instead of flying here, like everyone else would, she rode on the train for over a week. I remember her never telling us anything about Project Blue Book, even though I asked her about it a lot. I remember never going over to your house without her making prosciutto and provolone on Ferlo's Italian bread that we'd have to eat, even if we just had eaten. I remember her writing down all of the lyrics to Ballad of the Green Berets and Dominque (The Singing Nun) in the 60s so we could sing along. I remember the games of Pokeno at Aunt Vi's with everyone on Sundays. Your mom was the best Aunt anyone could ever have and I will think about her every day. I'm sure she'll be meeting up with everyone in Heaven and having an ice cold Utica Club. Love Your cousin Mike (and Jody)

I will truly miss my favorite aunt! Aunt Bea was such a kind person and a gentle soul. She was like a second mom to me. She also had a funny side, which I loved about her.
She was an amazing single parent who raised an outstanding person, my cousin, Christine. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandson, Lenny. Aunt Bea loved her brothers, Frank and Joe (my dad) and her sisters Vi and Carm. She was also close with my cousin Connie, who recently passed away.
I will always cherish our memories of the many trips that she made with Chris to California to visit us. We went all over the state and she loved San Francisco, Napa, Sacramento, and especially Sea Ranch.
I'm sure she is playing cards in HEAVEN right now sitting right next to my mother, Marie and my Aunt Vi. Or, maybe she's at that casino in the sky.
My thoughts and prayers are with my wonderful cousin, Chris and her son, Lenny.
God bless you, Aunt Bea!
Love,
Cindy & Jack

Bea,
I will truly miss you so much! You and I were inseparable as children. You were always there for me. We helped each other, being the youngest of 5 kids. We grew up working with our family and other migrant workers picking beans, peas, grapes, and other fruits and vegetables. You never left my side until now.
We had a lot of laughs growing up in Rome. I remember walking to school with you for miles in the snow. We knew everyone in our neighborhood back then.
One day, we were looking out of the window of our house and we saw a 3 story barn collapse right before our eyes.
You wrote me letters every week when I was in the service. I appreciated that very much because it connected me to home.
I still use your recipes for pasta, meatballs, and Italian sauce when I cook.
You were an amazing mother to Christine and grandmother to Lenny and always put family first.
I am thankful that we got to see you and talk to you on Skype on your 96th birthday on the 4th of July last month.
Love your brother,
Joe

Christine,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Bea was a wonderful lady. Always enjoyed our times growing up on River St. among all of our relatives.
