Obituary of Beatrice D. Graboskey
Beatrice Donofrio Graboskey, 96, of Rome, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2020 at St. Luke's Home, New Hartford. She was born in Rome, NY, on July 4, 1924, daughter of the late Eusebio and Anna Maria Cicconi Donofrio. Affter graduating from Rome Free Academy, Bea went to work at Rome Army Air Field and later RADC from 1942 to 1979 where she received several accommodations and awards for her outstanding work. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Christine Milano, Raleigh, NC, and her grandson, Leonard Milano, Utica, NY. Also surviving are her brother, O. Joseph Donofrio, Roseville, CA, nieces, Cindy and Cheryl and "favorite" nephews, Larry and Michael. She was predeceased by two sisters, Vincenzia Vittorello and Carmella Vella and a brother Frank Donofrio.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at St. Luke's Home, Barton West for the wonderful care and compassion that was given Bea and her family during her stay.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at 600 p.m., at Nicholas J. Bush Funeral Home, Inc., 7751 Merrick Rd., Rome, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, prior to the service, from 4-6 p.m. Anyone who wishes to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
