Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family! Mary was a good friend and we had many good times together. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Wasn't able to attend her service but thankful we visited with her before all this quarantine started.

To Michael and Michelle:
Our condolences on Mary's passing. She was a beautiful Christian, fine lady and good neighbor in Delta Terrace. I could always rely on her and her friend Marlene for a ride to work in downtown Rome when I did not have the use of my car and even a ride home later that day.
Her 90 year journey is complete. She is now in the HOME for which she was created.
May Mary rest in Eternal Peace.
Sincerely,
Jim & Terry Dooher

I worked with Mary at RBC. She was a sweet woman, friend and co-worker. I remember her daily stretch exercises in the aisles to “stay limber”.
I’m so sorry for your loss.

My dominant memories of Mary are her smile and her laugh. She and my mother-in-law (Ann Fanfarillo) were virtually sisters, making me some kind of in-law at least. Especially with the death of my father-in-law, I always remember Mary and Ann just planning and having fun. Mary was the driver, St. Mary of the Gas Pedal. She seemed to have infinite patience combined with infinite joy. I am saddened for her families loss which extends into my family. She was a second mother to my wife. I am saddened further by the infirmities of age that prevent my mother-in-law, my wife, and myself from attending the funeral. All sadness is diminished by the joy that Mary gave so many people for so long. Mary was an angel on Earth and remains, I am sure, an angel today. My sincere condolences to the family accompanied by my envy of those who knew her so much longer than I had the privilege of doing. -- Patrick Durkin

From June 1962-June 1964 I worked for Harry F Rice, part time after school. Mary was one of the nice ladies who was there, she
was so soft spoken and nice. She was a great lady. I would see her sometimes thru the years and we would catch up a little.
Deepest sympathy to all of her family - she sure was special!

I loved Mary. She was the mother of my childhood best friend and a dear childhood friend of my mother. Ergo, Mary was family. As a child, I loved Mary's beautiful smile, her warmth, her kindness, and her quiet and gentle manner. I also loved the way she laughed at me when I overstepped my bounds. Most of all, I loved that she called me “Trish!” As an adult, I was truly grateful for Mary’s friendship and especially grateful for all that she did for my parents, especially during my dad’s terminal illness. After my dad passed away, Mary took on even greater significance in my life: she literally chauffeured my mom, who did not drive, everywhere my mom needed to go (church, grocery shopping, medical appointments, the senior citizen center, etc.). As a result, Mary came to be known as “St Mary” to me and Patrick. Without Mary’s sincere friendship, my mom could never have stayed alone in her house for the more than 10 years she spent there without my dad, and for that I am most grateful. I am truly sorry that my personal circumstances will not allow me to pay my respect and offer my condolences to the family in person. To Bob, Diane, Susan, and Michael, and your respective families, please know you are in my loving thoughts and prayers. Patty Durkin
