Obituary of Pauline Froelich

Pauline Froelich, 84, of Rome, passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Rome Memorial Hospital from complications of CO-VID 19. She was born in Rome, NY, on June 27, 1936, daughter of the late Samuel and Rose Yuschak Mizgala. Pauline graduated from Rome Free Academy. On June 28, 1958 she married Robert C. Froelich, Sr., in St. Peter's Church. He passed away March 1999. Pauline was a member of St. Peter's Church. She enjoyed volunteering, bringing food to people and loved animals. Pauline will be greatly missed by all. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Jr., and Becky Froelich, OH, two daughters; Paula Rose Froelich, Utica, Karen Froelich and significant other Gina Janicke, Yorkville, grandchildren; Paul Michael Froelich, Dr. Edward (Melanie) Stanulevich IV, Robert Alberico, Brandon Alberico, Nicole Crandall and Francis Jewett, and a great-granddaughter, Maleigha. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Helen Mizgala, Rome, and several nieces, nephews and special friends, Kate and Jack. She was predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Rose Mizgala and sister Mary Pocchiari. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of the nursing staff and especially Caitlyn for their care and compassion shown to Pauline. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Sean O'Brien officiating. Anyone wishing to attend is required to wear a mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. There are no calling hours. Private burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's name to the American Cancer Society, 110 Lomond Ct., Utica, NY 13502. Arrangements are by the Nicholas J.
